About your role
- You design and implement Symfony-based web applications from concept to production, relying on your solid experience with PHP, Symfony and clean, scalable architectures.
- Secure, high-performance and maintainable solutions are developed by you using best practices, clean code principles and a strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
- You conceptualise, build and optimise internal and external APIs, ensuring reliable, scalable and secure communication between systems and partners.
- Modular and maintainable microservices are designed and implemented by you in Symfony, combining architectural thinking with performance optimisation.
- You further develop and maintain back-office tools and customer-facing areas, applying backend expertise while keeping usability, performance and security in mind.
- Other teams are onboarded onto new services through your documentation, technical guidance and hands-on support, requiring clear communication and a collaborative mindset.
- Close collaboration with product managers and the software development team allows you to act as a technical interface and contribute analytical thinking in an agile environment.
- You have several years of experience with PHP and Symfony.
- Object-oriented programming, design patterns, and API development are part of your daily work.
- Clean code, testing, and high code quality matter to you.
- You approach complex requirements in an analytical and structured way.
- Basic frontend experience, for example with JavaScript, CSS, or React, would be a plus.
- You enjoy working in an agile team and are happy to be in our Munich office at least three days per week for this role.
About your team
You will be part of the Munich-based IT team and work closely with product managers and the software development team. Together, you develop solutions that combine business requirements with high technical quality – through open communication, short decision-making paths, and a shared commitment to clean, sustainable software.
